The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga, maintains its efforts towards international recognition by inviting professors from overseas universities to deliver guest lectures, as well as conducting programs such as visiting professor, student/staff exchange, and joint research/conferences. This is also to support Universitas Airlangga in achieving the status of world class university and reach 500 top universities i 2020.
Professor Minoru Narita, affectionately called Narita-sensei, was very impressed with the welcome of UNAIR, especially the leadership of the University and the Faculty. He also expresed his amazement with Master and Doctoral students for their preserverance in gaining knowledge. In this guest lecture, some among audiences also expressed their interest in future short courses.
During his lecture, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hoshi University conveyed his interest to visit Indonesia again. He added that the joint conference between UNAIR and Hoshi University in neuroscience should be held in Bali, which will garner the interest of Japanese neuroscientists. Besides experts, he would also invite 20-30 of his students to attend the ocassion.
UNAIR intends to continue the partnership with Hoshi University, and is planning to invite Prof. Minoru Narita this year or next year.
