After visiting the Faculty of Science, Leiden University, on the same day (21/9/2022), the delegation team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) were also invited to visit the Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research (LACDR). LACDR itself is one of the institutions at Leiden University which is a center for multidisciplinary research on drug discovery and development. LACDR works in drug design and basic research related to new drugs, optimization of existing drugs, and personalized medicine.
During the visit, Prof. dr. Miranda van Eck who is the Deputy Director of the Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research and her staff warmly welcomed the arrival of the FF UNAIR delegates. This cooperation visit is a breath of fresh air for both parties in strengthening research collaboration or joint research.
Cooperation in the field of research is very important especially considering that research is included in the tridharma of higher education. With this collaboration, it is hoped that it will support FF UNAIR to become an increasingly leading Faculty of Pharmacy at the national and international levels.
