In addition to visiting two universities in Surabaya, on Monday (29/08/2022) the 3rd International Summer School, the Association of Indonesian Pharmacy Higher Education (AIPHE) Year of 2022 also invited AIPHE Summer School participants to visit Traditional Health Services and Complementary available at the Airlangga University Hospital.
Airlangga University Hospital is one of the teaching hospitals that was established on June 14, 2011 with the aim of developing health that is in line with the vision and mission of Airlangga University. AIPHE's agenda today is to invite students to visit one of the departments there. Before carrying out the visit, international students are required to carry out a SWAB test first. After carrying out the SWAB test and all students showing negative results, only then can visits be made.
In this department there are various kinds of treatment support services, including acupuncture, acupressure, herbal, relaxing massage, and reflexology. There international students are introduced to various herbs and aromatherapy which are used in supporting medicine. Guided by the doctor on duty there, international students seemed enthusiastic and eager to try out the prototype that was used to educate visitors. With this visit, it is hoped that international students can find out that traditional medicine has received a lot of attention and is even implemented in modern medicine, such as at the Airlangga University Hospital.
